Commenting on Jesus’ humility, -- the British pastor Charles Spurgeon -- once wrote.
“How low was our dear Redeemer brought! How then can we be so proud? ..If you are not humbled in the presence of Jesus, you do not know him.” We will never know the depths of his self-abasement nor the heights of his glory, because God has given Him the name that is above every name. So we sing, “Gloria in the highest!”
